Here is Ivan with his new backpack. He's all ready for preschool!

I've been horrible with updates lately! There just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day to get everything done. We are all doing great. I leave tomorrow to fly home for two weeks. The first week I will be spending in Oregon and Idaho researching my family. The second week I will be up in the Steilacoom, Lakewood area with my mom's side and Jason's family. Tomorrow Ivan also turns 3 and starts his first day of preschool!! Jason has promised to take lots of pictures for me.

Well I need to finish packing so I will try and update again soon.

Maine Eastern Railroad

A few months ago Jason and I won 2 roundtrip tickets on the Maine Eastern Railroad at the Coast Guard Appriciation Dinner. We decided to save them for when my Dad came so that we could have a father daughter day. It was alot of fun and I got some great pictures. Of course my Dad will never let me live it down the fact that I made him miss out on a picture of a deer!

The train

Dad and I before we boarded the train.

Leaving the station
Our house! If you look close you will see Jason and Ivan standing on the front porch waving!!!

There were only 3 people on this train ride so the conductor let us go to the back of the train to take pictures (it's not normally open to the public)

The front of the train, getting ready to go over this cool looking bridge.
I thought this picture turned out really well.

Walking back to our seats

The "famous" conductors. These two are on all of the Railroads promotional material.

All along the route were these old power poles. I thought they looked interesting.
